So according to some scientists the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) in the future is trying to shut itself down by sending back a ripple in time. Apparently an experiment at the LHC will go horribly wrong and the existence of the Universe is threatened. So the LHC sends a ripple back in time to stop the experiment from ever happening.
The suggestion is that the Higgs Boson is such a bad thing that it’s creation cannot be allowed.
The ripple back in time has been likened to someone travelling back in time and killing their grandfather. But that would create a paradox so it’s more like someone travelling back in time and saving their grandfather.
